The “Crux”

christ_crucified

“And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” (1 Cor. 2:1-2)(ESV).

No matter what methods we use in our Christian ministries, the cross must be the focal point; it must be the “crux.” It is on, through, and by the cross that Jesus provided the ONLY means of reconciliation with God for all those who will turn away from sin and to their Savior.

If this message is not at the core of everything we do, then we miss the mark, for the cross is central to Christian life from salvation to glorification.
