“When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously” (Dan. 6:10 ESV).
When Daniel faced persecution that threatened his career, his status, and his very life, he neither went out into the streets and made a spectacle of himself nor withdrew to some secret place where no one could find him in prayer.
Daniel simply continued to worship, praise, trust, and obey God “as he had done previously.”
He maintained a faithful and consistent witness no matter the circumstances.
What a great example for us to follow as we trust God’s promises for provision and deliverance amid life’s challenges!
